Hi All,

I just thought I would share this with you all. I just visited the local coin dealer on lunch and he had a 1943 Lincoln Steel Penny in MS64 condition for $ 7.95. Can anyone tell me if this a good deal.?

thanks
John

Nice. Thanks for the Information and link. This particular Steel Penny still has a nice zinc coating to it. I asked the dealer if it was replated and he told me no. Looks like I will be going down there again to get the coin.

Is it a Philly? CDN is like $2 for a 64.

You never mentioned if 43, 43D or 43S. Makes a big difference. Also, did the dealer just say it's MS-64 or is it professionally graded by a TPGS such as PCGS or NGC.
Any dealer can say MS-64 when it may be MS-60, -62, etc.
Even in the Red Book, which is always overpriced, the 43 in MS-65 is $8. It is a popular coin though.
