"The Error Coin Encyclopedia" - 3rd edition, by Arnold Margolis and Fred Weinberg lists the authenticity of a "Incomplete Punch" would be the fact that the two indentations are located one directly behind the other, and your coin shows the curved line on one side only.

That being said, I would go with PMD.

I have a few incomplete punches (I prefer "partial clip") that prove them wrong - including coins certified by PCGS. That said, this coin looks like a PMD, not because of the definition but because the interruption of metal flow on the tip of the leaf.

In my reply above, one of the photos is a 1966 Canada Dollar with the description on what to look for on a genuine incomplete punch error, and just going by what is mentioned there, and not trying to deceive anyone.

Nor I said you were trying to.

The beauty of errors is that there are many opinions, definitions and emotions.

Thanks for the info guys. @ t_y just so I can understand a bit more, what do you mean when you refer to the interruption of metal flow at the tip of the leaf?

Thanks again in advance.

If the partial clip existed prior to the strike, you would have elements of the strike going into the clip line. In your coin, the design is cut by the clip line - in other words, the clip line came after the strike.

Thanks for the info t_y.

Change4thebetter, the pictures were taken with my cell phone. I wish that I had a better setup, but the phone does take pretty decent pictures.
