Found this 1999 dime, at first I thought the sides were bent due to some sort of tool damage ..looking closer I saw that there was no damage at all to the rim or the reeded edging..nothing has been flattened...any ideas?
Wouldn't a vice flattened some of the reeding though? ..It's got the same edging and feel all the way around the dime...I would have guessed PMD as well if it wasn't for that....but I'm not expert, tks!!
Nickel can take a beating. I believe it could be a vise job as opposed to a hammer job because of what has already been stated regarding the collar and reeding. Also you can visibly see on the reverse's 2 o'clock position that the rim is bent like a bow and it's not straight.
