I bought some new coins, I couldn't help it :S
The first is a Greek bronze I have had my eye on for a while, since all my Greeks have been silver so far I had to add it....

THRACE - MESEMBRIA - AE - FEMALE HEAD WITH DIADEM - ATHENA ALKIS WITH SHIELD AND SPEAR, HELMET IN FIELD
nearly extremely fine, nice patina
250-175BC MEΣAM-BRIANΩN
22 mm; 8,0g
Next with my Roman coins looking a little threadbare I wanted to get these two Faustina's to go with my Marcus Aurelius (being mother and wife respectively)

FAUSTINA I. (138-140) Denarius. Rome. Ceres.
Obv: DIVA FAVSTINA Draped bust right.
Rev: AVGVSTA Ceres standing with torch and grain ears.
Condition: Very fine.
Weight: 3 gm.
Diameter: 18 mm.

FAUSTINA MINOR (161-175)- DENARIUS - ROME MINT - Juno standing with peacock
Obv.: FAVSTINA AVGVSTA; draped bust right
Rev.: IVNONI REGINAE; Juno standing left, holding patera and sceptre, peacock standing left at her feet
3.1 gm; 14 mm
very fine
And lastly just because I liked it I bought this one (I know these come in both silver and billon and I believe the xxi indicates the purity of the metal but I am not sure what it is, if anyone could explain I would appreciate it)

PROBUS - ANTONINIANUS - 276-282AD
Obv: IMP PROBVS PF AVG portrait right
Rev:PAX STANDING WITH SCEPTRE AND BRANCH - PAX AUGUSTI xxi in exigue
Condition: Extremely fine.
Weight: 3.7 gm.
Diameter: 21 mm.
Of the 4 coins the Thrace one was double the price of the other three - there are cheaper ones to be had out there but I liked the dark patina and good details.
