I tried to find the topic I saw on black Beauties but couldnt.Anyway I found a coal black 1973D today and its in 100% mint state uncirculated condition,all the steps ,every detail perfect.I cant post pictures with this computer with this slow dial-up but believe me its nice..

Well thats what I'm calling it,its completly black ,not painted..I didnt think to much of it till I saw what condition it was ,a 40 year old coin in mint condition..

Found this ,,Black Nickels are concentrated in the late 1950's and early 60's,BUT have occured througout the last 50 years.Black dimes and quarters also occur...
