Looks like road kill to me. It is probably not suitable for a vending machine any more, so less than the $2 face value.

Hard to tell without measurements. I'm certainly no expert, but to me it just looks beat-up.

... hmmm. I have been toying with the idea of showing my vast array of mutilated roadkill coins stamped on all manner of exotic foreign planchets on this forum.

I have to be careful not to advertise these "treasures" too widely though. Because they must be worth many multiples of "3K" and they are not insured

I have a coin like this but I have only keep it cause it looks like the crappiest coin iv ever seen and I like it.
I don't think its what they think it is.
