being new to this forum, and just purchased a liberty double eagle. If this coin was graded professionally and given a pcgs grade of ms 62 how could it be fake
Is there a reason why you think it could be fake? For example, an unusually low price? If the coin has been graded by PCGS, I don't see any reason why you would think the coin is fake.

It could be fake if the PCGS slab is fake as well. There are fake slabs out there. There is also the very rare possibility that PCGS goofed and slabbed a fake. Fake coins in PCGS and NGC slabs do exist but are rarely encountered.
