An acquaintance asked my assistance in identifying the attached coin or medallion. I'm a coin collector, but have no clue where this object is from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just looked for what little I could see: the left half of the obverse legend you can read as EPISCOP. Once you know you have a hammered coin with that abbreviation of "episcopus," the search narrows down a lot.
