There is a little treat that I give to me and my dog. Since I am a diabetic and have to watch my sugar levels I have been purchasing Altoids smalls in the peppermint flavor. For my wife I have been getting her the wintergreen in the same size containers.

Anyway, I have found what is for me an excellent use for the empty containers that I accumulate. I have been using them to store the good condition pennies that I come across. The excellent ones I store in the plastic phials.

If I manage to get the small carboard containers they serve as an excellent way to store the full metal containers.

Sort of a way to herd cats, more or less.

If you are buying the mints regularly ask the store staff to save the boxes the packs come in. Nice discreet coin storage.
