Had another outing with my daughter to the LCS this morning. We picked up the following (there are more "moderns" than "classics", so I'll just put the post here):

- 1913 Type 1 Buffalo nickel in ~VG8 (been looking for a good deal on this coin)
- 1936 Buffalo nickel in ~VF30 condition
- 1865 3-cent Nickel ~VF20 (we already had one, but it was too nice to leave behind)
- 1986 Statue of Liberty commemorative half (uncirculated)
- Set of all 2004-2005 + 2006 Westward Journey nickels (uncirculated & sealed in a Littleton bag)

And my daughter picked out the following from the value box; I guess they "spoke to her" :
- Bicentennial half (uncirculated & sealed in a Littleton bag)
- Bicentennial half (yes, another one, this one in a plastic case)
- Five red OPAs in a little baggie

Got all the above for $9. Pretty nice score, in my opinion!

That's a lot of nice coins for under $10.

OPA coins (made of pressed wood fibers) = "change" given out when rationing stamps were used during WWII.

Dang. My mother had a jar full of OPAs. Wonder what happened to them when we closed her house. We used to use them as markers when playing bingo.
