Hmm, I am wary of that 50 cent roll. If they arn't numbered, why are they selling at double face? Previous years rolls were sold at face, were they not? Can 50 cent rolls be acquired through banks as normal, or have they been discontinued?

@Anjohl, I think most people would keep it for novelty if they ever see a 50 cent in change. Chances are slim they would end up in a bank if someone does decide to break up a roll or a set and spend it. In that case, they will mostly likely end up with scratches all over them.

I also don't think they were available at face value. Maybe a long long time ago. I could be wrong.

I mean rolls available at face value from banks, as in, mint rolls. Is the mint only rolling them in commemorative wraps now?

I would buy these at the double face if they weren't steel slugs. For 2x face we at least deserve nickel halfs.

@Hoop130, it is not 'Awaiting Stock'.

'not' should be 'now'...

Hours are now open at the Mint. 7:00 am EST.
Let us know what you find out.

The duck subscription went awaiting stock 3 hours ago. Funny it was at 300 just before it went awaiting stock. Did someone buy all 300 of them?
