If there was only a Dansco that would house the collection in the SLABS! Then viewing the set would be awesome!

(Actually, my first numismatic love is ancients......) Those you get to handle.

This is definitely a topic of interest among modern coin collectors as I notice it pops up on a regular basis in one or another of CCF's forum areas.

Those familiar with my posts already know that I collect original packaging and other paper materials for my US commemorative coins, so it shouldn't be a surprise to read that I'm an advocate of purchasing modern US commemoratives in their OGP and keeping the materials as part of my collection.

As have others, I eventually grew tired of having to open each coin's OGP each time I wanted to view it or show it to someone. My solution to the issue has two parts: 1) Keep the coins in their original capsules and store then in coin trays sized to fit them for easy viewing (here's what they look like: http://www.lighthouse.us/epages/lig...2266/US_2267), and 2) Use a separate file storage box to store the cases/boxes in which the coins came.

This approach enables me to view my coins quickly and easily without having to open any packaging as well as safely maintain their original materials for future reference.

Another approach is to store them in album pages made for coins in capsules. Here's a link to one such option: http://www.lighthouse.us/epages/lig...2258/US_2569

Hope this helps!

From time to time I go antiquing with my wife and occassionally we see old printer trays. Does anyone who is famaliar with them thing that they could be either used or modified to show commerative in open top boxes or something else?
