Still no reason it couldn't be edwarD Di gra rex angl. And still think your best clue to tell the difference will be the mark to the right of the king's neck; it's either a lis, a trefoil, or possibly a saltire, which appeared on the Irish coinage of Edward IV. Do you think there's another to the left of the neck? Many issues of this period had a letter there.

The keys on the Yorkist coinage tend to be elongated and slant from lower right to upper left, and I just don't see that here.

Yes I agree, do you think it could be an Irish penny.An independent assessor has told me it is Edward IV York mint.I have placed it on ebay today.
