EFLargeCents Pillar of the Community United States 1304 Posts	Posted 03/08/2013 08:37 am Thanks everyone! The VG-8 crowd won, but I agree with the VG-10 crowd on what the coin should have received. The reverse is F12 all day in my opinion, the eagle and shield is much too defined for it to go lower. The obverse does not make F12, but I think it deserves a VG-10 because of what is left of Liberty on the shield and the fact that the shield outlines are still well defined. VG-10 would have been my guess. This one was cracked out and placed in my type set, no pic of the slab. Report this Post to the Staff

The rim is worn down into the field and the majority of the banner is flat. Obverse could make VG-10 but the reverse held it back. Report this Post to the Staff
