Hello to everybody!

I have received a nice coin (medal) and I would like to know year of issue and what kind of material is made of.
I have attached two pictures of it.
Any kind of information would be welcome!

Swiss Postal Transport
Gotthard Post
Helvetia

Thank you!

Dont know anything about it, other than I like it.
Sort of a darkside pony express.

Get a good magnifier and look at the "cartouche"... the rectangle under the horses hooves; not the fence, but to the right of the last to right fence post.

I tried to blow up your picture and couldn't be sure, but it may have a purity/weight marking there... otherwise it seems an odd out of place bit.

Does it say anything... if so, what?

>>>edit>>> Your image appears to indeed have markings in that cartouche... the last letter appears to be a small case "g". I would assume it to be a gold puriy/weight mark... possibly a commemmorative token with the same specs as the more common 20 Franc Swiss gold Helvetia?

On that cartouche there is a number: 9
Not 925 or 999 to say it is silver.
Maybe is the number of coin, like a serial.
Gold? hmmm...I don't think I am so lucky... :)

Nah, I don't think either that this could be a gold piece. ;) And I did not find anything about your medal, except for this folder: http://coins.delcampe.com/page/item...guage,E.html

That folder combines the medal, a stamp and a painting (by Rudolf Koller) which also shows a Gotthardpost carriage:

Thank you all, my friends.
Chrisild. Indeed, it cannot be gold because, the seller from the link you gave me, sells a medal like mine with 35 Eur. I think is silver, at this price.
Moreover, I found out the year when it was minted (1987).
