I just got back from vacation to find an email from the mint that came today saying I'll be getting a special invitation and gift in the mail this week from them....I didn't see any threads on this yet... Anyone know what it's about?

Looks like just the 2 of us are getting something. Lol. Hopefully it's nice. Makes me wonder why only a few MC members are getting this? Did they pull names out of a hat?

The only gifts right now is a free Birks necklace worth $275 and purchasing the gold and silver dragon coins in the lunar series for $700. If its something else, please let us know.

If it is the birks necklace, I will sell them for 200 bucks. What is the invite though. Hopefully not free entrance fee to the winnipeg or ottawa mint

I got the same thing as well... it says "Dear Pookies, In the next few days, you will receive an exclusive invitation, and special gift, from the Royal Canadian Mint. This invitation is being mailed to only a handful of loyal Masters Club members of the Royal Canadian Mint. In fact, the invitation is so exclusive that in order to ensure it makes its way to you, the intended recipient, it will be delivered by registered mail and your signature will be requested upon delivery. I originally received it from my rep. However, when I spoke to my rep, apparently the IT department sent it out by mistake. Whatever! I wanted it either way. I just ordered some $20 for $20 coins plus my original order grouped together. I'll give the gift to my daughter when she is older.

Only a handful of Master Members? How do they determine who is to get the invite? The members who spent the most money buying coins from them?

I don't know. All I know is that it was an accident. I heard some MC members are receiving offers for $700 plus tax for the lunar 18k gold and silver Snake coins. I haven't seen the email myself.
