Just received the fifth installment of my group of seven coins. Oddly enough the coin depicts only a portion of the true painting. all we can see on the coin is the arm of the guardian of the gorge. Anyone else notice this. On another topic, I've seen people selling the box online. One could not get a box without subscribing to the set so I don't understand why someone would be selling it unless they were going to sell the individual coins as well. I know for a fact that the Mint had a lot of problems getting good boxes from their supplier and this caused the delay.

Some people cancelled their subscriptions and sold the box for a premium. I think the going rate is over $200 for the box...

I sold my box a while back, the 5th coin has to be the worst of the set.

Agree that the real painting shows much more of the "Guardian" - I was dissappointed as well. But I saw the coin before I looked-up the painting and without the true picture in my head it wasn´t so bad though!

mine arrived the other day at my aunt's place ( I only have a tiny mail slot so I don't get my coins delivered there) I can't wait to pick it up and blog about it.

ok so I got mine. I have a question.
if a coin is stuck in a box, how do you get it out? I've tried everything to get it out of the box with no luck. it's far too tight.

Push down hard on the capsule near the opening of the lid

to clarify, I'm talking about the giant black box they shipped the subscription with.

I've been trying, there's not enough of a gap to get it in, I chipped the capsule twice and decided not to try anymore.
it's almost like the thing sat outside the moisture warped it or something. but it hasn't gone anywhere other than my safe.
i put it in and took it out fine when I first got it (I'm referring to the lawren harris coin, the rest can come in and out) but now it's so wedged in there and it's crooked, i'd like to straighten it out.

@cowboy905: I have the same problem before and I found that not all the coin slots are of the same size. Some are smaller and hence the coin would stuck. Since then I put a ribbon underneath each coin before I put the coin back to the box so I can use the ribbon as handle to pull it out.

They could use different finishes on this coin. It looks so "plain", no perspective, no surface difference
