Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify this token. I am struggling with either the font or the language, there's several places where there's a letter that looks like a double "I" and can't figure it out. I can make out "medioevo" which I think is Italian but that's about it. (And of course the Roman numerals). Thanks!!

Well, the seraphs head surrounded by six wings on the obverse is from the civic heraldry of Sarnano, in Italy, which I believe is spelled out above it. On the reverse, I see "medioevo," and the date 1992. Medieval festival token?

And Sarnano still holds a medieval festival, the Castrum Sarnani, and they mint antique-style coins for the event:

Quote:
I visitatori che entrano a Castrum Sarnani conosceranno l'antica moneta coniata per l'occasione così l'acquisto di gadget e souvenir o gli spuntini nelle osterie e taverne avrà il sapore d'altri tempi
