What do you think about this 10 cash Chinese coin from the early 1900's? I has a split planchet. Probably not a big deal but I love the fractured planchet. Comments always welcome. Thanks to all.
Planchets that are split like this one are much more common in ancient coins, quite scarce in machine made coins. One of the reasons for this is that modern coins are struck within a collar, ancients were not.
I would imagine that a slight rotation error within this series would be relatively easy to find amongst error coins. Would have been a nice double error in better condition.
