Good Detector For Woods? - Coin Community Forum

Dasaki Pillar of the Community United States 500 Posts	Posted 03/17/2013 9:19 pm I live in the country in a house built back in the 40s that I know for a fact hasn't had a detector used anywhere near the property in the last 20+ years at least. I've never detected before and the property is almost completely wooded, but has a history of turning up stuff like arrowheads and musket balls. I'd love some input on a good, preferably cheap detector that works okay in wooded areas. Report this Post to the Staff

The best detector meeting your description of "good" and "cheap" would be a Garrett Ace 250 or a Fisher F2. I have used both and would recommend either one. Good luck. Report this Post to the Staff
