It only shows the reverse of an Indian Head cent, right? Or am I missing something?

You are bidding on a roll of old wheat ear pennies, some of these rolls have buffalo Indian pennies on them to.
the roll in the pictures is the roll you will get

'buffalo Indian pennies' Never seen a buffalo on an Indian Head penny, but... I guess I've not stared at an Indian
Head long enough...

It's a ploy. Appear completely unknowledgeable about coins so that people will think you're not smart enough to pull the valuable coins from the roll --> higher bids.

But it has a "back and a back on it" that's crazy valuable.

$620.89? Are you kidding me?

Well, I'll admit this, it sure made me ask what type of wrapper that is...did they EVER come with shiney aluminum foil that looks like it is from a stick of chewing gum?

Lol, read the feedback he receives:

"Good coins, but paid way too much for the roll." -$271

"Pd a bit too much-was hoping again" -$155

"DO NOT SPEND WHAT I DID. TERRIBLE ROLL!!" -$218

"Pretty common except end coins. Paid too much, but that's the chance you take." -$242

All positive though

It almost looks like aluminum foil then wrapped in tape.

Maybe that's to protect the highly valueable coins from the blow-torch he uses on the masking tape!

Holy cow, all I have to do is make a weird old looking wrapper and people will pay that much? Why do I still have a day job?

He probably did scorch the tape to make it look older. I can't believe anyone would pay that much for a roll you could buy for $5.

These are the first shotgun rolls I've seen that really look like they've been fired! It sounds like a good many buyers have been burned by these half-baked offerings.

Aluminum foil wrapped in scorched masking tape.

The secret to making a killing on ebay !

I don't know whether to be proud of the guy for finding a way to make money or laugh at the fools who pay that much for it.

I'm gonna think on it though,

Done thinking, buyer beware ! Enough said.
