Hi guys

I'm new here and had liked some info regarding this gold coin. It was found during some construction work in Belgium. I heard it should be around 15-16th century, but would love having some more info on it.

First off, welcome!
That is a truly awesome once in a lifetime find!
I flipped through the France/French States section of my 1601-1700 standard catalog of world coins and came up dry, it's probably older than that....
A little googling and I found this: http://home.eckerd.edu/~oberhot/gold.htm looks like the Francis 1 (1515-1547) ecu d'or
