Ever have a coin sometime in the past pop up for sale or trade that was available to You, but you didn't buy it! You hummed and hawed and wondered if you should but what kept you from making that decision not to buy it seems insignificant today?
What was that "one" coin that You passed up, that knowing what you know today, you would have made the buy, given the chance!

Glenn, that happens all the time. Most recently with a '61 Halifax Coin Club 9kt gold medal. You don't see these very often, just a handful struck.

This one is my biggest regret, a 1903-S Morgan. I was just starting to collect Morgans and "thought" I was a better grader than I was. I put it at a XF40 according to "My" superior intellect, and the man wanted $500 which was "overpriced" for that grade. He and I bickered for a half hour over $100 so he had it graded by PCGS. When he got it back it graded at AU55 ! So I offered him his $500 and to my surprise he wouldn't take it, imagine that!

Glenn this may happen more often that you think.Every buy or bid is a big thought process for me.You win some & you lose some.

I've had that happen a few times. I figured I'll bid at the last minute and then I surf around and do something else. Lots of time, yup. Oops, only another 10 minutes, but I have time to do a few tasks and then get ready. Oh no! I hope I'm not too late! Rats...auction ended over 5 minutes ago and what a price! I let that go for that low of a price?

And then that sick feeling in the tummy. Well, there are probably a lot more of those for sale. Nope. There was only one. Completed listings? Nope, nothing. Then I ask the seller if they have any more of the same. Sorry, that was my last one, they say. Never fails!

I wish there was a heartbreak hotel to go to when that happens.
