Hello,
I have a very small octagonal california gold token (token meaning non denominational). From 1853.

Token weighs .015 ozt. It is 10.25 MM in diameter.

I really appreciate any help, as I know there are A LOT of fakes out there. Thank you in advance,
enzeno

Thank you. Do you know anything about what the gold content may or may not be on this token?
Thanks,

I doubt that there is any gold content... it has no denomination whatsoever; no 1/4, no 1/2, no Dollar, no Dol... It's a souvenir not made in 1853.
