I would like to start a spin off of the Countdown 1 - 207. This one is going to be the women behind the emperors, they could be wifes, mothers, grandmothers, daughters, etc.. As long as coins were struck under there name. Most of these coins are scarce to extremely rare so it will be interesting to see what is out there.
Will go ahead and start with: Livia, Agrippina I, Antonia, and Agrippina II. Posting will end at 11 pm forum time tomorrow. Looking forward to see some nice coins.

The Imperial Coinage of Livia was struck in the names of Tiberius and her grandson Drusus. While technically not within the guidelines I suppose we can make an exception for the old girl. Dupondius of Livia Obv. Veiled diademed and draped bust of Livia right PIETAS Rv. DRVSVS CAESAR TI AVGVSTI F TR POT ITER around S C Sear 1741 Obv. Diademed and draped bust of Livia IVSTITIA Rv. TI CAESAR DIVI AVG P M TR POT XXIIII around S C Sear 1739 Someone had terribly over cleaned this one. But the price was right so I was game. ($62) Dupondius of Antonia (postumus issue of Claudius) Obv. Bust of Antonia right ANTONIA AVGVSTA Rv. Claudius standing left veiled and togate TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP S C Sear 1902 Sestertius of Julia Titi (daughter of Titus deified by Domitian) Again technically out of 'bounds' as a postumus issue but exceptions should always be made for 'Deified' offspring ! Carpentum drawn by two mules DIVAE IVLIAE AVG DIVI TITI F S S P Q R Rv. IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM COS XV CENS PER P P around S C Sear 2890-91 This last one came via our 'good amigo' in Hispania (Antonio). Again the price was right ($45). I usually would pass on something so hard to ID.

Definitely excellent coins, FR.
A bit soon to start another countdown? I think so, but maybe not since it might keep the activity up some, perhaps.

It's been slowing down a bit with the emperors and getting close to the end so I thought it might spark some more interest by starting this thread.
