Just found these in my pile last night and wanted to share. Not much Byzantine goingaround lately anyhow. They were part of a group of 79 pieces that also yielded a Tiberius As and an Aes Grave.
There are some problems with the attribution of the nummus. See below.

Justinian-I,-Carthage,-Nummus-And-Pentanummium

Justinian I, AE Nummus, Carthage.
Obv: Pearl diademed, helmeted, cuirassed bust facing. No legend.
Rev. Six pointed star within wreath.
Problem: SBCV (my paper copy) does not list just a six pointed star within wreath in the Carthage nummus section. So I went over to Wildwinds for a quick check. They have this listed as SBCV 283 which my paper copy says is a Chi Rho with stars. Dumbarton Oaks only lists what my SBCV has listed. This is not a Vandalic imitation, I believe, as the quality id too high. I looked through Dumbarton Oaks for Vandalic imitations and none match anyhow. Any thoughts.

Justinian-I,-Carthage,-Nummus-And-Pentanummium

Justinian I, AE Pentanummium, Carthage.
Obv. [DN IVST]ININANVS PP AVG, diademed bust, right.
Rev. E with cross to right within dotted circle within wreath.
SBCV 274.

It looked like odds and ends from someone. Some were cleaned (excessively) some were unclenaed. I paid $75 for this lot plus shipping. I'll dig out the other two and post them soon in this thread. I'm working through a few thousand coins now and prepping them for resale.

If I am not mistaken what you 'found' is not Tiberius
Something much more rare ....
You have a Drusus !

Then again ...maybe not
The portrait looks like Drusus but the more I look the legend might not be right

Nah .... you were right the legend is Tiberius. But I still think the portrait looks like his son !

Here's another Tiberius I found, in a different bunch though.
Tiberius, cut AE 23, Antioch. 31-32 AD. BMC 160, RPC 4277.
The legend was obliterated, the only way to attribute it is the wreath. Tiberius is the only emission with an outer dotted border and an inner solid border around the wreath on the reverse.
