I was going through some older coins recently and found this 1905 Indian Head small cent with a bubble on one side. At first I though that I would turn the coin over and find it was punched from one side to the other. But as you can see it's not. You can also see that as it rubbed with the other coins, the peaks are "cleaned" a little to show it's not soldering. It's copper color. The shield follows the bump up. Hard to know how something like this could be PMD other than someone taking a welding device to bubble up the metal? Thoughts?

Yes, that's PMD. This coin has had a tough life and there's no telling how that happened. You can be sure it was not struck at the mint that way.

Looks like solder. Might have been a button or jewelry.

Jewelery or a button makes sense given the two raised areas.
