Odd Color For A 1983 Cent

Here are two 1983 cents found in circulation. The one on the left is a normal red copper color but the one on the right is almost yellow. What could account for this odd yellow color?

Looks like a brass alloy where the metals mixed create a brass color rather than copper.

It might just be the way it toned. I have some from the 40's with that color.

high zinc content in the electroplating bath= brass-plated Zincolns instead of pure copper-plated

I have a few from ea decade. Not sure what causes it.

Pending on where those both were recently, might just be the atmosphere. Humidity, dirt, dust, air pollutants, etc. make metals tone differently.
Or the one on the left may be Gold.
What do the reverses look like?

John1, thanks for the info. It's a pretty neat find; I'm really pleased with it.

The brass plate cent has a rough finish to it. You can see it clearly on the reverse photo.
