Odd Color For A 1983 Cent - Coin Community Forum

NJ Bob Pillar of the Community United States 655 Posts	Posted 03/25/2013 11:18 am Here are two 1983 cents found in circulation. The one on the left is a normal red copper color but the one on the right is almost yellow. What could account for this odd yellow color? Report this Post to the Staff

just carl Bedrock of the Community United States 20753 Posts	Posted 03/25/2013 3:31 pm Pending on where those both were recently, might just be the atmosphere. Humidity, dirt, dust, air pollutants, etc. make metals tone differently. Or the one on the left may be Gold. What do the reverses look like? Report this Post to the Staff
