69.95 for 1/4 oz? Can someone explain why this one is so expensive? Nothing special in the description... Seems to be the most expensive one I've see in my life, 4*70 = 280$ for an Oz... Seems that the Grandmother to be a super deal comparing it...

yea, 1/4oz is the size of the 20 for 20s. Seems a little crazy.

I think RCM is doing a "heat check". Seeing what they can get away with....

But if nobody buy this coins because it's so expensive, it could be rare, like the first one of the Bird series...

Well could be but they are selling a coin that's 31.39(g) for 150 dollars with a little piece of glass glued to it and everyone's buying like crazy lol. Spot price on silver is appox 28.75 an ounce atm go figure...

$150 an oz. is still better than $280 an oz. in my book

Maybe so but no one is going to melt a 38 g 150 dollar coin or a 8 g 70 dollar coin for the silver , if people are so concerned about the amount of silver then they should not buy these coins and instead buy the bullion coins for 2 to 4 dollars over spot.

I must agree 70$ for 1/4oz is a bit much, but I am very interested in what the rest of the series will bring. Even if I did know, I'm not sure if I'd get the coin haha I need to see a better picture, but for now it's a no...

Over priced for silver, yes, but I still got one as I really like the design. Of course spending 30 dollars for a steel .25 cent coin also seems rather ridiculous, but I still buy the bird series.

As much as I love honey and coins I'm staying away from this one. If a lot of people buy this I bet you will see a drastic increase in prices in the near future.

Love the design on this coin. If it weren't so expensive I'd pick it up. Hope it turns out to be a success for all those who ordered a few though.

Dont forget that all the coins comming out from the mint are collector coins...so the price of silver is second to the design and mintage of the coin....
