Hi All,

I just received yesterday the below from E-Bay and it came in plastic fold over Flaps.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/14093270358....m1439.l2649

I want to place them in something that will keep them in this condition for the long term. I do have mylar 2 X 2 coin flips, but is there anything better?

Thank you.
John

I think the mylar flips would be perfect for these. But if you want, here is a great site for coin collecting supplies... http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com
If you don't like the mylars, I'd recommend snap locks or air-tite capsules.

Very nice coins. I just hate it though when shipping is that much when compared to the price of the coins. I'm pretty sure they could be shipped for the price of a 1st class stamp which is 0.46 (3 quarters can) so I'm not sure why standard shipping is so much!

If the shipping was more reasonable, I'd probably buy them for myself.

Second on the Air-Tites, 'nickel' coins are actually 75% copper and tends to darken to a warm tone over time in average humidity. There is a choice between a ringed holder or a direct fit. In bulk quantities they are about 55 cents for the ringed variety and 45 cents per capsule for the direct fit. Proof coins should really be stored in Air-Tites, IMO. Nice buy, btw.

When I sold circulated Lincolns and Morgans on ebay I always charged the cost of a stamp to mail the Lincolns. I put them in a holder and folded paper around them for protection then put them in the mail. No need to charge ridiculous fees for shipping. The only reason I stopped was because ebay has a fee for everything now and it was eating most of my profit. I like to use air-tites too when I have no album for a coin, and no real substantial collection to put them in 2X2s as a group. I don't collect toned coins but found an uncirculated 1958-D with cool toning. I got an air-tite for it. I like it.

Nice acquisitions.

I think Mylar 2x2 holders would be sufficient, but Air-Tites are very nice and not overly expensive.

John, you could of bought my Proof-69 for like that cost. I paid 11 for it. I got my proofs of those for like same price with the shipping added. Anyway very nice coin! Dave is one of my people I buy from. ( ebay seller)

Mine are in 2x2's and doing fine.
