I don't know what made the 6 on the 1946 fifty cents so susceptible to die chips, but you can find at least five different examples, including the quite expensive double chip with die crack (design in 6) that has been previously discussed a couple of times on this forum. keep on looking, the George VI fifty cents are a very fertile ground for finding Major and Minor Varieties.
