Nice one, CPC. I love those KGVI errors - especially one with a good-sized die crack like that one. One thing you may like to know: your coin has a die crack as opposed to a die break. The difference is that a die crack is a raised line starting somewhere in the interior part of the design or lettering and running often (but not always) to the rim. A die break is generally where the die crack starts at one place on the rim and runs through a section of the coin and comes back to the rim at a different place. You see that effect quite commonly on the 1943 tombac nickels, interestingly enough.

No I missed the chance to stock up , just what I have not yet checked in stock .

Thanks pennysaver . I get them mixed up still , between die break die crack and retained die . Thanks for your shared information .

Nice explanation about the break---Has anybody seen a break clear across the diameter of a coin, extending to the opposite side?
