This particular dime caught my eye. The hairlines are very sharp for any coin I have ever seen from the 60s from the series. Any thoughts on the condition. The reverse you can see the torch lines somewhat visible toward the top and dull toward the bottom half of it. I know this is a neglected series but wonder if the sharp hairlines and nice toning even though it gets lost in the picture, means this dime is going to be significant at all?

While the obverse may give a good estimate for the coin's true grade, it is necessary to examine both sides of the coin. I would note that the hairlines may appear more prominent because of the dark tone the raised devices on the coin have taken on, but the hair lines don't seem to be struck very differently than any other dime. My verdict is AU-58, and unless you have a fond attachment to it, I think you can safely put this dime back in circulation.
