hello all first of thanks for such a great web site ,,i am a change picker and a wile back I discover a 2012 toonie with its engraving that spells CANADA up side down , my question is how rare is this,,"whats the chances of getting one of these toonies" thanks for your help

cueball...I had a post about this very same thing about 2 months ago and as it turns out there is a 50% chance that the writing on the edge of the toonie is one way or the other..Unless "Canada" is upside down and the rest of the letters are opposite....?

I have gone threw several hundred and it is a 50-50. So there is no rare one nor is there any value to the variety other than haveing them for your collection. If you want an unc set, email me at thevarietyguys@hotmail.ca and I will send you a set at cost.

The edge letters are put on at the ring rimming stage, before the coin is struck, so both directions are possible.
