Is this actual silver? What does it actually say on this coin? I it is an older copy woud it be worth something?

It looks like silver. The letters spell out STERNS 1897.

This is not a forgery or fake, because there is no attempt to deceive.
It IS however, an interesting copy.

they made this out of Copper-Lead and also a few examples of silver and a handful of gold. It is said this is also dated 1898....mine looks to be 1897....Error? Mistake? Trial run?

Silver?

It weighs 25.5 give or take 1g. 35mm and thick.
