According to this article in the Toronto Star, we're more likely to spend older 'dirtier' bills than we are crisp 'new' bills.

I read the article and wonder what they were smoking. I'm spending the money weather its new or old. I just don't see their reasoning myself.

University research project - our tax dollars at work. You do have to wonder what the point of it is.

Back in my university days, we used to get 3 draft beers and a hot dog for a $1.00 bill. No one needed to study that - the point was fairly self-evident.

I for one am more likely to spend dirty old money. I dont know what that says about me but I hate dirty tattered money in my wallet.
