Top: Zambia 5 kwacha, issued 1989. CV (2002 Pick catalogue #30) $2 in Unc. The portrait is the smiling face of now-ousted President Kenneth Kaunda. Inflation soon made these notes obsolete; there are now 4,040 kwachas to a US dollar.

Bottom: Burma (now Myanmar) 5 kyat, issued 1973. The portrait is of Burmese hero, General Aung San. His daughter, Aung San Suu Kyi, is the leader of the democracy movement in Myanmar today; notes picturing him are no longer issued. Pick #57, CV $1 in Unc.
