Is this a collar error ? I have seen so few examples. Are the beads supposed to be lengthened ?
This is on a 20 Cent 1858.
The reverse seems to show a mint chip on the rim and metal extending into the top crown bow.
Or is this just plain PMD ?

Not a collar error.
Denticles appear normal.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

I think it is probably PMD that has happened sometime in the last 155 yrs. The denticles on 1858-20 cents are longer than normal. Still a desirable coin.
