Yes - VCR #3... Here is a good website: http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/...llarVars.htmThey sell anywhere from $200 to $800... it really depends on the demand. That said, there is more demand from PL Set collectors, than there are from nickel dollar collectors, so leave the set intact.

Thanks guys @ SPPOttawa....I contacted Ken about the set and he also confirmed. I agree that the set should be left intact...I could never bring myself to cut it out and send it to ICCS. According to the Charlton Catalogue, depending on grade, its worth anywhere from $900 (MS-64) to $2500 (MS-66). I listed it on ebay for $2500.00...might be dreaming but I think its worth it being its rarity and high grade. Item number: 281089761464

The charlton catalog can never been trusted for prices, they only print a book once a year

True in most cases maybe but this isn't your regular trend coin that will go up and down in price and bought and sold daily...so I would hope the prices are a little more realistic for the scarcer coins and sets. In a case like mine, I cant just go on ebay or to a dealer for price comparison because there is none...the book price seems to be all I got so I'm sticking to it. If it sells great and if not, that's alright to...I don't mind having it in my personal collection but one thing is for certain, I wont give it away. I feel its worth every penny...if it wasn't than everyone would have a set.

I bought a set at the last Coin Expo in Toronto for $200. The dealer had been trying to sell it for over a year. I sold a similar set, for $500 recently, to a collector who asked me to find one for him (that was my cost price)... $2500 is dreaming - it is not because it is scarce, it is just because demand is quite low....
