It's turning out to be a very interesting coin, usually a scratch would'nt be so smooth on the edges.
Mabye struck through a thin piece of wire or something ? it just does'nt look like a scratch.

It could be, but it would have to be a very thin piece of wire!

Nice bit of work, Robster, it could explain why the line is not straight, or curved, but has a few kinks in it
