Hey. I agree with Pertinax that the grade is better than VF, and they rarely get seen so good. There's no digs or scratches that I can see, and there's so little wear to the hair or shield that I'd also be suspicious, but it looks like the real deal from here! It's Spink S.3435 (2nd reverse), and looks like the "no frosting" (inside the crown) variety. Values on coinsoftheuk can often be out of date, and directly copied from Spink anyway, although the values rooneydog stated are about the same as my Spink 2012. As Spink is only a guide, and anything of this age, size and grade pushes the value way up, I recommend looking at completed auction prices (try londoncoins.co.uk, realised prices, general search). The shilling looks like a £200 coin to me, and I reckon the halfcrown would be worth at least £800...most probably more. So I think if you paid less that $1000 for the pair (£650), you got a good deal
