Hi I posted this dime up a wile back with really pore photo and was told by many that I would get a better answer with better photos, so here they are. My question is this an mint error or post mint damage? I got this dime at the self checkout line in my neighbor hood grocery store during check out I have never seen or herd of any thing like it and neither has any one I know, any answer are appreciated.  *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Definetly the wrong forum. And I'm leaning towards PMD on this one.

Looks like PMD to me. Maybe it was heated that could cause the bubble and then the bubble was pushed in? John1

The coin was most likely in a fire, high heat can cause internal separation of clad layers which will lead to the formation of a "bubble".

I agree with biokemist6. High heat will cause a bubble.

I say someone heated something up and pushed it onto the dime causing that. ( so like John said)
