According to the reviews, most of the people don't like the set and is only 80% silver....

On my side, the coins are not very good looking, and maybe it's worth the half we paid for the entire set... The kind of set to put in a shoe boxes and forget about it for a long time....

There was a thread on this set when it first came out. Most people here were pretty negative on it.

Not a Silver Dollar collector, but I want to make exactly the same set by myself. Why I want specificly those, and not the others - cause these dollars are silver, and they targeted for circulation. It will be something different from all the NCLT that I collect. The price...I set for myself the range that is below the RCM price and try to get the best. Added: If someone who owns the set do not happy with it - I will be interested in the box and capsules (the Dollars will fit I36 air-tite, but sure RCM uses something else) - that's way I belive your expenses on it will be minimized.

The set pretty much the same coins you can get for 20-27 $ , but all you get extra is a nice box.

Thank you all for clarifications. Well, I'll find some other wooden box. And the coins - I do not know, what exactly RCM sent (which grade), but from the ebay searches I see that I can get nice coins in the range of $30-$60 Actually got few of them. Non-graded and looking good for me.

Do not pay attention to that. Seems that their prices for un-educated buyers. I dealt with this seller in the past. Have no complaints, because from the BIN price he reduced it by 100% at least (means I paid half a price even less).
What important to me (in this case with 1949 Dollar) - compare the coin general look and does it fit the price.

Can't imagine this was a hit, thankfully.

I would stay away from #3, the coin appears to have a significant rim ding on the obverse at about 3 o'clock and the seller is known for overcharging.
It could just be the images, but #1 doesn't look quite right. To my eye, it appears to have been polished as the surfaces just don't seem natural. Also, there appears to be several hairline scratches on the reverse.
That leaves #2. The coin appears to have natural surfaces and does not have any major bag marks/scratches.
If I were choosing, I would go with #2.
