Let's see some more guess. It's so much fun from this side of the coin.

Nice try Ben-
Of course I would expect nothing less from Martin...Well done. Tell me though how could you tell the difference between Philip I and Antiochus VIII Gryphus and Antiochus XII Ephiphanes?

I have been looking at buying one of the Philip I for a couple of years and the hair and style have become familiar. I could have been wrong and then would have had to seek alternatives. I think this will be easy.

The best I can come up with is Antiochos IX. If not for FR's clue I'd have no idea at all.

Ski- 7196 looks right I can't look at the flip because the coin was put in a coffin quite a while back.... Martin- I really love that coin. I know I might have seen you post it before, but the coin is awesome. I have mainly seen Geta as aa child on coins. I haven't seen many with the beard. Interesting. I would assume the coin was minted as his brother plotted his demise? I also love the reverse. Who is the soldier representative of? Persians? Barbarians? Just a symbolic fallen enemy? Great coin. I would have guessed Caracalla.
