Nice sand patina. OK, a little different coin that shouldn't be too difficult to guess the emperor. It is from the 11th century.

Titus?

Can I return to the Maximian VOT X. I disagree with the attribution. GAL VAL MAXIMIANVS NOB C would be Galerius and make this coin RIC VI Carthage 36.

Good pickup, Martin. I just reviewed the ERIC sections for Maximian and Galerius, didn't realize that Galerius's name did not appear as such on his coins. Good to know.

As for the current GTE offering, hmm. It does look like an earlier emperor but not many have left-facing portraits.

Perhaps a Vespasian sestertius or as?

Good catch Martin, I didn't check the legend. Guess I went out of turn. Still a nice coin from a short running mint.
