ok I found this in a rolld and it looks like it plated or
something. Not gold but its very heavy compared to
a regular copper or zinc penny and feels very very smooth
to the touch has weird pit you can see in the picture
i was thinking maybe an amateur try at casting a fake?
Any help would be great or it might be a weird alloy or something.

the pictures do not capture how reflective it is, its
reflective like a proof but not in the same way more like
machine polished brass. More of a gold plated look but it isn't gold. seriously looks like polished brass.

No, no variations in composition were made until the zinc cents came along. It's just been cleaned is all.
