"Bostra was the northern Nabataean capital, until Trajan annexed the kingdom. It was then capital of Provincia Arabia, where the Third Legio Cyrenaica was garrisoned. The emperor Philip was born in Bostra and designated it a metropolis."
There are some beautiful ruins still there.

I wonder if this coin ever saw these places?
An interesting thing about this type is that it has pretty high relief on both sides. It gives it a neat feel. I guess that may be why the faces are worn on most examples.
