"Often you will see sellers selling coins that make a claim they are "PERFECT" but are NOT graded and encapsulated by ebay approved grading companies: PCGS, NGC, ANACS, and ICG. Majority of these other "graded" coins are self-graded, self-slabbed, and self-sold by sellers who have no knowledge of grading. 99.9 -100% of these coins would never grade that high by PCGS, NGC, ANACS or ICG." It sounds like he's describing himself and what he is doing. disgraceful imo.

AND no bids? Odd since he offers FREE SHIPPING.

I must be missing it. He seems to be offering exactly what he claims, and his long description boilerplate give a lot of good advice including informing buyers of their rights under ebay rules. I see nothing wrong with this auction other than he could use some larger pictures and/or ones that can be enlarged.

Could be my monitor but that quarter looks pretty rough to me through the toning. Thus my "chew on coins" comment.

The packaging on the mint and proof sets in the 50's was horrid. I have seen coins like this right out of the packaging. While the coin is utterly ruined, I see nothing wrong with the listing in and of itself. Not a coin to be proud of, but nothing to rag on.

I've seen a lot of coins right out of the mint sets that look like that as well. I don't care for the look but surprisingly they will often bring a premium for that "mint set toning"
