My mom brought home 4 1943 steel pennies and let me have them!! 3 are no mints but the forth is a S mint! I was soo excited! Then my dad showed me his small collection which consists of a 1944 Walking Liberty half, 3 Roosevelt's (52, 63, and 64) a mercury 1944, wartime nickel 43S and a dateless buffalo!! I hope to inherit these someday! As a collector whose just starting out with a tight budget, those would be great additions!!

Bank0510, to the CCF. Congrats on your recent additions. Very nice! Everyone has to start somewhere. Anything in particular you think you want to collect?

Nice, one of my best friends is also a coin collector, his grandfather collected. His grandfather worked his whole life at a check exchange store and has hundreds of error notes, and bags of silver coins.

I remember the first time I saw steel cents--what a thrill! But that was nothing compared to the thrill of actually owning one! And the rest of those coins you have now, surely would have made my day back then.

yeh I when I first saw a Wheat penny I was like wow these are awesome, then my uncle gave me a indian head and I was hooked. love other coins as well but very partial to pennys for some odd reason. mainly because you can sort of find good ones still in circulation and for ms examples of 50s and 40s wheats you can get then for under 20 bucks.

Welcome and congratulations on the nice coins... The good and bad thing about being a coin collector is that you're never done.
