Hey everyone!

I just found this wheat (see pic) with what looks to me like a die crack, or some kind of die defect to me (look at the raised streak above the "B" in "Liberty"). However, I have only been collecting seriously for 6 months, so I would like a second opinion. Also, on a side note, how does everyone get those super enlarged pictures that they post for error coins. I can't figure that out. Thanks!

I can't tell from the pic, but it looks like it could be a lamination error, if it isn't post mint damage. You have the coin in hand so here is a link for you to check out...http://www.error-ref.com/retained-lamination.html I get my pics using a 2.0 MP USB microscope I got on ebay for around $15.

Looks like PMD to me. Something struck the edge, breaking the rim away towards the bottom of the anomaly and pushing it into the field of the coin.

It is a "Califone CM1-USB Computer Microscope". 2 MP with Resolution from 1280x960 to 160x120.

It is just like this but I won it for $15 + $4.50 shipping.
